Drawing Vital Milieus
Understanding how organisms, including humans, relate to soil, water, air, climate, and to each other is crucial for developing more sensitive spatial design and research projects. However, effectively highlighting the significance of these perspectives remains challenging without specific ways to represent them. The method of drawing a vital milieu addresses this problem: it begins with the life cycle of a non-human protagonist that becomes the foundation for a circular calendar which opens up a new perspective on more-than-human modes of inhabitation.
